Park View is housed on two sites, approximately one and a half miles apart. Students are accommodated at North Lodge during their first two years. Students in Years 9 to 13 are based on the upper school site at Church Chare in the centre of Chester-le-Street. There has been a school on the site of Park View since 1908. It has a firmly established reputation for excellent standards of achievement, behaviour, appearance and care. Parents know that suitable expectations will be made of their children, based on traditional standards and values. An impressive academic record is balanced by a very wide range of extra-curricular activities, including sport, foreign exchange visits, outdoor pursuits, performing arts and community involvement. Indeed, as a community school and specialist status Language College, with a highly successful sixth form, Park View has much to offer students, parents and the wider community alike.
