The Sixth Form at Park View offers:

  • A broad programme of study in Year 12, allowing students to undertake 4 A/S level courses or to mix and match between academic and vocational qualifications;
  • A choice from 20 A Level subjects, in addition to Vocational courses in Business, Health and Social Care, Information Technology, and Music;
  • A timetable which allows students to combine courses in a way which will ensure access to the full range of career and higher education destinations;
  • A Tutorial Programme designed to provide students with the information and support necessary to make career and higher education choices, and to develop the key skills essential to succeed in their applications;
  • A wide ranging and varied Enrichment Curriculum which provides opportunities for academic and personal growth inside and out of the classroom;
  • Excellent facilities for study, research, leisure, sport and music and a commitment to ensure that these continue to develop.

For help with your son/daughter's university application, you can talk to any member within our 6th Form team or log on to www.ucas.com (telephone : 0871 4680468 - lines are open Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 6.00pm). You can also email enquiries@ucas.ac.uk.

Calendar of University Open Days

There are a number of posters and leaflets in 6th Form with dates for university open days or you can go to www.opendays.com. We recommend your son/daughter visit the universities they are interested in so they can ask questions about courses, results, etc. Park View Sixth Form do occassionally take students on visits to universities. The university we choose may not be that of your son/daughter's choice.

UCAS Timetable

These are the most important dates for your son/daughter's university application. These dates never change. You could also visit www.ucas.com for up-to-date information.

September You can start the application process.
15 October Deadlines for applications to Oxford University, University of Cambridge, and courses in medicine, dentistry and veterniary medicine.
15 January Applications must be in to guarantee equal academic consideration. This is the last date for most on time applications.

16 Jan - 30 June

Late applications received by UCAS are forwarded to the institutions for consideration at their discretion.
24 March Last date for on time route B Art and Design.
12 June Last date for route B application.
30 June Last date for receipt of applications for immediate consideration. Those received after this date are held for clearance.
